Mexican Wolf Age Comparison

Although a bit different than my usual stock I noticed that I had gotten photos of these two wolves in nearly identical poses and in almost the exact same location. Age has a strong impact on a wolf's appearance and so I felt this might be useful to wolf artists.

These are two female Mexican gray wolves from the Utica Zoo in Utica, NY. The wolf on the left is Bella, pack alpha and 14 years old. On the right is her daughter, Sierra, who is 8 years old. While Sierra is sometimes difficult to tell apart from her 3 sisters, Bella has always stood out and is easily identifiable. 14 years is quite old for a wolf and so her body build and the way she carries herself is very different from her younger and more fit daughters.
